Xcel Energy to sell Michigan gas and electric operations

Seeking Alpha reports: Xcel Energy said Tuesday it agreed to sell its Michigan natural gas operations to SEMCO Energy Gas Company and its Michigan electric operations to Upper Peninsula Power Company; financial terms were not disclosed. If approved by state regulators, Xcel's 6K natural gas customers will be served by SEMCO and 9K electric customers will be served by UPPCO; service will continue without interruption during the transition, with no immediate changes to billing and rates.…
