Pfizer’s Tukysa regimen approved in U.S. for front-line breast cancer

Seeking Alpha reports: Pfizer on Wednesday announced the FDA approval of its tyrosine kinase inhibitor Tukysa (tucatinib) as part of a combination regimen for the front-line maintenance treatment of a type of breast cancer. The approval allows Tukysa for use in adults with human epidermal growth factor 2-positive (HER2+) breast cancer after induction therapy with trastuzumab and pertuzumab, two other cancer drugs marketed by Roche as Herceptin and Perjeta, respectively.
