I've been trying to set up a full Solana RPC node, but kept having this issue. [INFO solana_net_utils]Checking that tcp ports [{8000, TcpListener { addr: 0.0.0.0:8000, fd: 85})] are reachable from 139.178.94.143:8001 [ERROR solana_net_utils] Received no response at tcp/8000, check your port configuration: timed out waiting on receive operation I'm using this statement to bring up the RPC node exec agave-validator \ --identity /home/sol/validator-keypair.json \ --known-validator 5D1fNXzvv5NjV1ysLjirC4WY92RNsVH18vjmcszZd8on \ --known-validator dDzy5SR3AXdYWVqbDEkVFdvSPCtS9ihF5kJkHCtXoFs \ --known-validator eoKpUABi59aT4rR9HGS3LcMecfut9x7zJyodWWP43YQ \ --known-validator 7XSY3MrYnK8vq693Rju17bbPkCN3Z7KvvfvJx4kdrsSY \ --known-validator Ft5fbkqNa76vnsjYNwjDZUXoTWpP7VYm3mtsaQckQADN \ --known-validator 9QxCLckBiJc783jnMvXZubK4wH86Eqqvashtrwvcsgkv \ --only-known-rpc \ --full-rpc-api \ --no-voting \ --ledger /mnt/ledger \ --accounts /mnt/accounts \ --log /home/sol/solana-rpc.log \ --rpc-port 8899 \ --rpc-bind-address 0.0.0.0 \ --private-rpc \ --dynamic-port-range 8000-8020 \ --entrypoint entrypoint.testnet.solana.com:8001 \ --entrypoint entrypoint2.testnet.solana.com:8001 \ --entrypoint entrypoint3.testnet.solana.com:8001 \ --expected-genesis-hash 4uhcVJyU9pJkvQyS88uRDiswHXSCkY3zQawwpjk2NsNY \ --wal-recovery-mode skip_any_corrupted_record \ --limit-ledger-size Have allowed the firewall using the following command sudo ufw status sudo ufw allow 8000:8020/udp sudo ufw allow 8000:8899/udp Does anyone has a solution for this? Are you running the node behind a firewall/natted that is blocking the port upstream? Useful tool is nmap that lets you port can your machine

You only opened UDP. The error says tcp/8000 and all your ufw rules are /udp . sudo ufw allow 8000:8020/tcp sudo ufw allow 8899/tcp Dynamic port range needs both. Gossip/TPU is UDP, but repair and a couple others are TCP, which is what that startup check is hitting. If it still fails, check: Cloud provider? ufw isn't enough, open the same ports in the security group too. Behind NAT? Either forward the ports or pass --public-rpc-address . From another box: nc -vz <your-ip> 8000 If that times out it's still firewall/NAT, not the validator.
