OK worked it out for anyone else that finds the documentation non existent.
type help lowercase then the command to see what it does, here's the most basic form
createwallet NewName
getdescriptorinfo "pk(KwDiBf89QgGbjEhKnhXJuH7LrciVrZi3qYjgd9M7rFU73sVHnoWn)"
Get the checksum
importdescriptors '[{"desc":"pk(KwDiBf89QgGbjEhKnhXJuH7LrciVrZi3qYjgd9M7rFU73sVHnoWn)#TheChecksumHere","next_index":0,"timestamp":1630308659}]'
