I'm researching whether Lightning Network is used as a payment rail in social engineering crypto scams (giveaways, fake investments, recovery scams, phishing) rather than just plain on-chain BTC. So far I've only found documented cases involving P2P Lightning trading bots, specifically bot-impersonation invoice scams on lnp2pBot (corroborated by multiple reported victims) and a similar attempt on RoboSats exploiting its collaborative cancel feature. Is this pattern limited to P2P trading tools, or are there other documented cases of Lightning being used in different scam types?
